Oscar aimed to redefine people’s relationship with their health insurance company, using technology to reshape the entire experience – making it simpler, faster, and more accessible.
We got a rare opportunity to build the brand from scratch. And in doing so, we wanted to do something simple, yet seemingly impossible… Making a health insurance company actually feel human.
From the colors to the characters to the brand voice, we built a cohesive brand that stood out from the inhuman sameness in the category. Essentially, we just made the kind of health insurance brand we’d want for ourselves.
And in doing so, Oscar quickly became a disruptor (with smaller budgets than everyone else) that quickly expanded across the country on its way to an IPO.
